As a new photographer, I don’t have a lot of gear because I am still trying to get a feel for my favorite equipment. Here is my current photography gear!

Camera

Canon Rebel T6

This camera is really easy to learn on. I shoot in manual mode which gives me control over my image. This camera is light weight and I think it is perfect for beginners, like myself.

Lenses

“Nifty Fifty” (EF 50mm, f/1.8)

My favorite lens! I get beautiful and crisp images with blurred background. I use this lens for every photoshoot!

18-55mm

This is a kit lens. I got this with my camera and I am still trying to decide if I actually like it or not.

75-300mm, f/4-5.6 III

This is a pretty good zoom lens! I’m still working on understanding how to get crisp images using the 75-300mm but I love being able to zoom. This is helpful for wedding ceremonies because I don’t have to be in the aisle and right on top of the couple.

Amazon Basics Electronic Flash

I haven’t had an opportunity to test this flash out, but for the price, I couldn’t pass it up. I know several photographers that use this flash for weddings and other low light situations. Excited to try this out!

Toshiba 1TB external hard drive

This is old faithful! I have had this hard drive for a while and it is great for me to back up my images. I am planning to get a second hard drive, so I have double backups! You can never have your images saved too many times.
